Rheinwald
The longing for the south, the dream of a unique mountain experience, in the Rhine Forest they become one. The beautiful cultural landscape is surrounded by a mighty mountain and glacier world. The Rheinwald is the uppermost of three valleys through which the Hinterrhein River flows in Canton Graubünden. Two pass roads lead south: the Splügen Pass into the Italian Val San Giacomo and the San Bernardino into the Misox. The highest peaks found in this beautiful valley are the Rheinwaldhorn (3402 m) in the west and the Piz Tambo (3279 m) in the south.
