Odours and fragrances are triggers for various feelings and emotions. Flavours awaken childhood memories and create moments that stay with you. Combined with a little Swiss charm and Swiss quality – et voilá – Bünzligwürz turns every plate into a feast!

Mr Bünzli’s range is now at least as diverse as Switzerland and its inhabitants. This time we have opted for the all-rounder “Schnitzel Fitzel” and the modest “Eifach Gwürz” and, together with our fantastic pizza/steak knife set of 4, have conjured up this original gift set. The perfect gift for all Bünzlis and those who don’t want to be… A Bünzli dinner for four, “we wish you all the best!”

Our pizza/steak knives (yes really, they’re great for both) are handmade, consisting of a surgical steel blade (material number 1.4116, material designation AISI 440A, Rockwell hardness 54-55 HRC) and a polypropylene handle.

Anything but Bünzli: the knives can also go in the dishwasher…. Bünzli spices are all free from chemical ingredients, they are vegan and gluten-free!

Eifach Gwürz, the bünzlige infusion bomb! Modest and yet extraordinary… Bünzli! Goes with everyone and everything.
– Ingredients:  Paprika, raw sugar, garlic, onions, chilli flakes, mustard seeds* (*allergenic), cayenne pepper, turmeric, pepper (red, green, black and white)

Schnitzel Fitzel, goodbye glutamate, hoi Schnick Fitzel! The all-rounder for meat, chips and/or vegetables. It’s Troimli!
– Ingredients: Smoked salt Sel des Alpes, garlic, brown sugar, curry, toasted onions, savory, mace, thyme, celery*, wild garlic, chilli, pink pepper (*allergenic)

Last but not least: The meaning of «Bünzli»
While it is difficult to translate precisely, even for Swiss people, it is generally accepted that Bünzli describes a person who is very conformist and is always prepared to ask others to abide by the rules. Bünzli is often regarded by many people in Switzerland as being “really Swiss” – on-time, rule-abiding and perhaps even a little nit-picky… Mr and Mrs Bünzli (Mr and Mrs Swiss…) are nice, friendly, charming and make sure to do everything right… Kind of cute, actually.
